While this blog title resembles another blog, it's actually Latin for "The Unknown Advocate." Times being what they are, I've separated my personal and political musings. This anonymous forum is dedicated primarily to civil discourse of politics, "CHANGE," and current events (hosted from a conservative perspective). In keeping with the Latin title, I've created a Latin motto: "atramentum cogitabundum advorsum asinum batillum" [which is translated in a footnote buried deep in the archives]

Hi Tom, I'm back a reday for a good Irish fight.

The stimulus package has been shoved down the throats of Americans by Pelosi and Reed. There was no time allowed to even read the bill let alone have any democratic debate about its contents. This has got to be a travesty of democracy.
You do know that Obama waited a full day to sign the bill after it reached his desk. That time could have been set aside for our reps to read the thing.
JG and SQ,
My two political motivators through the years. Glad you stopped by.
My laptop is on the fritz and my computer time in the evenings has been reduced because of it.
But I must admit that I have found what's happening in Congress beyond frustrating. I sometimes start to write here and then something so outrageous happens that I don't even want to write about it. It seems so obvious that there's nothing left to say.
As you've pointed out, SQ, the fake call for urgency and then the long pause for theatrics really makes me wonder how long Obama's honeymoon is going to last.
If my household budget was in trouble due to overspending and monumental debt, I don't think going on a spending binge would help. Why do the Dems think this is what we need. We will never be able to reverse the growing "hand out" mentality that they are creating.
