While this blog title resembles another blog, it's actually Latin for "The Unknown Advocate." Times being what they are, I've separated my personal and political musings. This anonymous forum is dedicated primarily to civil discourse of politics, "CHANGE," and current events (hosted from a conservative perspective). In keeping with the Latin title, I've created a Latin motto: "atramentum cogitabundum advorsum asinum batillum" [which is translated in a footnote buried deep in the archives]

I have begun to take *more* notice of what is being talked about on conservative *talk* shows and they all resonate with the same stuff. There is a plethora of news online as well...ie Mike Huckabee and more. I have a Facebook account and there is much being put out there as well on all this stuff about our present administration and how corrupt they are. We are headed down a very slippery slope in this country and while people in the town meetings seem to be getting it, the population at large seem complacent. I'm frustrated! What can we do to try to reverse some of this c@%#??? I'm sick to death of people saying that they want his health-care plan and that he will be helping the poor. Even Christians seem to be blind to this junk!! As you say.."if" this is true....we're in BIG trouble!!!

I've been watching, too. This uproar is genuine. Even the liberal media can't ignore it. And even Dems are rethinking this catastrophe. I really thought we were "toast" that everyone felt like I did last month. Sort of a "what's the use?" But I think people are finally trying to shut the barn door but there's no telling how many horses will still get through.
There was a "town meeting" in Madison, WI last night. I didn't know about it before hand but even if I had couldn't have attended due to another engagement. Guess they felt it was successful. John Stossell from 20/20 was there and is covering health-care tomorrow night. HOWEVER when I went to TIVO the program found that NFL football is taking precident. Guess Ms. Tammy Baldwin was invited to the event but was a no-show.

I've become a bit more pro-active and have contacted our "representatives" in WA. Of course they're liberal but I thought at least I'll be numbered as one of the masses who is objecting. I got 2 "canned" e-mails from 2 of the people and the 3rd hasn't yet responded and it's been at least 2 weeks.
What frustrates me the most is, "they" aren't seeming to listen to the people...and it's no longer a Republican/Democrat thing. I'm hearing Democrats who aren't happy as well.
Our country, if these people get their way, is losing ALOT---ie. Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Choice and more. Where are the true patriots????
