There's a book coming out called Game Change that has everyone up in arms. If the accusations are true, it makes Bill Clinton and Harry Reid sound like a racists. Harry has already appologized because he actually did say the negroe remark. It will be interesting to see if Bill Clinton admits he really did say of Obama when he was angered at his upset of Hillary, "A few years ago this guy would be serving us coffee." Whether these things were said or not, it's probably fair to consider them snippets in time, and the context should be considered.
But you can read all about that stuff at the above links and in many other venues, what I wanted to point out was Politico's Mike Allen's choice of the worst possible AP photo of Sarah Palin. There are literally thousands of archived photos to choose from. There were probably 100 shots from the very same camera and position that generated this cross-eyed, buck-toothed mug, but they chose the worst possible frame of film to publish.I've seen Sarah Palin up close in real life, and believe me she is as telegenic and photogenic as most of her appearances prove, but of course, Allen and/or the AP photographer chose this photo as the most accurate portrayal of the governor on her book tour. Maybe there is something to the theory that the left is afraid of Sarah Palin. Why else do they persist in perpetuating the "duffus" image? Maybe they should focus on Harry Reid for a while. He seems to have a foot in his mouth.

60 Minutes had a piece on her this weekend. A lot of "ado" was made over the problem she was having with Biden's name. While practicing for the upcoming debate with him, she kept referring to him as Obiden. This is why she asked him at the beginning of the debate if she could call him Joe. She still ended up calling him Obiden at one point. But I can forgive her for that. She did a smashing job debating him otherwise.
I'd like to know when 60 minutes is going to do a piece on Biden and place his many, many blunders under a microscope.
I like Sarah Palin. But I would rather see her run for Congress than the presidency. I know she is a quick study and all of that, but she does not have a strong knowledge base in history and foreign affairs. It shows. She would need that in order to be an effective president. I believe she can serve the conservative cause in better ways too.

I wish I'd seen that 60 minutes. Biden is golden, of course, his gaffs make him all the more endearing to the liberals, and we've learned this week that when liberals make even "racially insensitive" gaffs it's forgivable because we "know their heart."
I agree that Sarah Palin has not met the "presidential bar." Even when I voted for her and McCain, I considered her an improvement to the McCain ticket but no more qualified to be president than say....Oh...Hmmmmm....Ob.... Obiden....I mean Obama. =)
Interested to see what she brings to Fox.
